Crazy to see what I worked on during the construction vs after it is finished, all the companies that came to work did a great job collectively.

Stray Dogs Cause $350,000 Damage at Houston Car Dealership: In an unusual incident at a Houston car dealership, two stray dogs caused substantial damage estimated at $350,000. Captured on surveillance video at G Motors, the dogs, one a bull terrier mix and the other of an unknown breed, were seen scratching paint and tearing off bumpers of vehicles in the lot. This event left the dealership’s finance manager, Imran Haq, and sales manager Gaby Fakhoury, both bewildered and concerned. The dogs, believed to have entered the lot by crawling under a fence while possibly chasing stray cats, were apprehended by Houston’s animal control shelter, BARC. The first dog, named Dasher, was captured in early December and has been declared healthy and adoptable by BARC. The second dog was caught on December 31 and is still under evaluation. This incident is not only notable for the amount of damage caused but also highlights a broader issue regarding stray animals in urban environments. G Motors staff expressed sympathy for the dogs, emphasizing that they are now in good hands and can be adopted. This situation, while causing significant financial strain for the dealership, also sheds light on the potential for unexpected interactions between stray animals and property, underscoring the importance of animal control and community awareness in urban settings. #Catastrophe #Property #Liability #Weird #Claims

Pitbull-type dogs are valued for their exceptional temperament, versatility, and roles as service, therapy, and police dogs, as well as beloved family pets. The term 'pitbull' broadly categorizes medium-sized dogs exhibiting characteristics of various bully-type breeds. American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and American Bully are recognized as pitbull-type breeds by AKC and UKC standards. Despite misconceptions, over 20 breeds, like Bullmastiffs and Dogo Argentinos, share traits with pitbull-type dogs. Understanding the nuances of breed identification is crucial, especially amid discussions on breed bans and restrictions. #Pitbulls #DogBreeds #AnimalWelfare

On the "in" side.A kennel - A kennel is a structure or business that houses animals, particularly dogs and cats. You might leave your dog at a kennel while you go on vacation. We are not a community style boarding house where multiple dogs are kept together. We have our own logical reasons to run a kennel. A kennel is not necessarily "bad place" run by "cruel people".We are here to cater to an individual dog at various levels. Needs space. Is on heat. Is reactive. Is aggressive towards other dogs... But the ones listed above is a special population, which means, not every dog who boards with us has to belong to the list above.Even beautifully socialised dogs do well in a kennel. It not about "caged" but more about "individual space".Know the difference.#kennelowner #boardedover5000dogs #since2008#petsitterspune

People need to know more about this. Some think it's not serious, like we're the fun police. The effect on domestic & wild animals is 💔. We'd never think it was ok to terrify them in this way. Why do we make an exception for fireworks? To animals, the sky might as well be falling down, they're terrified. It's one thing to think it's just fun, we've always done it and not know. But to know the harm they cause and decide what we want, a bit of fun, is more important than the fear and death caused to domestic animals and wildlife, is inexcusable. Horses and cows in fields are so terrified there've been cases of failed escapes, smashing into fences injuring themselves and having to be put down. Terrified birds leave eggs and babies to die in their nests. Other wildlife are also terrifed. Many domestic animals shake and cower with fear. I read a case where a dog was hiding near his owner in the dark and she heard a pop, the next day she saw the dog's eyes had gone milky, he'd gone blind. I've read others where puppies have died of heart attacks. 😢 Is it really worth it for a bit of fun and because "we've always done it"? Once I knew the effects, the reasons against far outweigh the reasons for. The harm caused cannot be justified.

Animal Management: How to Report Dog Related Issues 🐕Auckland Council’s Animal Management team is available 24/7 to assist with any dog related issues such as roaming dogs, aggressive dogs and dog attacks. Should you encounter a dog acting aggressively, please retreat to a safe place and contact us on 09 301 0101 or 0800 462 685 to report the issue immediately. When reporting, supply as many details as possible including descriptions of the dogs and owners, and any supporting details such as address where the dog was last seen. We ask that all owners ensure their dogs are registered, microchipped and preferably de-sexed. Dogs should be kept safe and contained on your property, and never allowed to roam or left with children unsupervised. This will go a long way towards keeping our communities safe. 4th of July is approaching, and it's crucial to prioritize the safety of our pets during the fireworks festivities. This period often leads to pets getting loose and ending up in shelters. Here are some key tips to ensure the well-being of our furry friends:- Keep your pet securely indoors to shield them from loud noises, flashing lights, and strong smells.- Secure all gates to prevent any chance of escape.- Make sure your contact information is on their collar for easy identification.- Never leave your pet unattended, especially during fireworks displays.Animal control officers across the United States see a 30 to 60% increase in lost pets each year between July 4 and July 5. July 5 is said to be one of the busiest days of the year for animal shelters.Let's all come together and take the necessary precautions to safeguard our beloved pets this Independence Day! 🐾 #PetSafety #4thofJuly #FireworksSafety

You know, I have to get this off my chest about all the horrifying pics of animals suffering. It upsets me to my core to see pictures like this above, people take the time to post them of animals suffering. We all can imagine the horrors of what animals suffer and go through mostly, that has to do with humans involved, in some way. The first and foremost empathic thing to do is help the animal, not take pictures or videos, things like this makes me want to quit social media, isn't this supposed to be a career networking site? I am starting to really think about having second thoughts about this. I have rescued animals, had the media involved to break the case to shut down a shelter, I did not have time to take pictures nor did I want to of some of the animals that died from being so sick. The day I helped move them out of the shelter. the only time I needed to show the animals was at the shelter as I walked through it with someone videoing the shelter for the news station, so people could join in to help support me on trying to shut it down. How can anyone just snap pictures, this as an example, just watch the pup as it was clearly disabled and can hardly walk, suffering, just kept on videoing, why not take videos or pictures, of you are someone saving the animal! that is what needs to be seen! I will never understand people and on what level their mind works! this applies to everyone not just to this person, so please understand, what I am trying to explain.
